------DISCLAIMER------ I've forgotten about quite a bit of the content I wrote for this blog, and really only get comments on it once in a blue moon in the past 2 or 3 years. I was quite surprised and then quite saddened when I got the first unhappy comment after Jjong's death. I've considered taking this post down and even discussed it with my best Shawol friends (that I met because of this blog!), but I've decided to keep it up with this disclaimer. Why? Editor's Note: This post was not written to bash G-Dragon.  This post was written out of my frustration with GD and YG Entertainment and the way that they handled this issue.  Please read the whole post + this post written after GD's Coup D'etat teaser video came out before you make a comment.   On July 30th G-Dragon posted a picture to his Instagram account that has proven to be very controversial.  That would be this pic here, in which he's got a face full of black paint:

YG Entertainment 's CEO, Mr. Yang Hyun Suk himself, has recently taken to the YG-Life blog to expound on what's going to be going on with YG artists for the 2nd half of 2013.  On the 25th he dropped some G-Dragon knowledge that has sent Kpop fans into a tizzy, but where's the news on Taeyang 's new album?  That's what I really want to know.

Remember all the way back in January of this year when it came out that  Block B  filed an injuction against their company,  Brand New Stardom  (aka  Stardom Entertainment ) for not paying them all their well earned money?  Well, guess what happened yesterday?  You guessed it... Block B lost.  I figured this was coming but DAMN is it f*cked up!

As mentioned in my previous post, SHINee has announced plans to release their 2nd Japanese album , which is called " Boys Meet U ".  In related news, Jonghyun has been spotted coming in and out of the SM Entertainment building quite a bit recently: Jonghyun 130514

2013 continues being The Year Of The Kpop Scandal , as one of the supposed angels of Kpop turned out to be The Devil Incarnate™... or just a regular guy.  Yes I'm talking about Onew from SHINee .

Big Bang 's G-Dragon , along with fellow bandmates Seungri and Taeyang , attended the Gaon Charts Kpop Awards earlier today and unveiled a little surprise:

New info about Block B 's injunction against Stardom Entertainment  continued to surface throughout the day, with both parties releasing statements and fans and netizens alike rallying to Block B's defense.  Read on for Stardom and Block B's statements and more.

It's only a few days into 2013 and it seems like it's already the year of the Kpop scandal.  So far Rain has gotten into trouble for dumb stuff like dating Kim Tae Hee and not wearing his hat while off base (smdh), idols are tweeting   crazy stuff , and how about another sex scandal ?  But the news that just made my jaw drop was that Block B has filed suit against Stardom Entertainment because they want their exclusive contract to be nullified. The newest and biggest scandal in the world of Kpop involves Big Bang's Seungri and it's a doozy.

The new "trend" in Kpop right now seems to be skateboards and I'm seeing them all over the place.  I think it kinda started when Big Bang's Taeyang was seen at the airport on a skateboard .  There's been numerous sightings of him and G-Dragon on skateboards since then: Taeyang tweeted this pic on July 12  GD tweeted this pic on August 17

Bad things happen to good people and Nichkhun is seemingly the good-iest two shoes of the good in Kpop.  I don't think I've seen one bad thing written about this guy ever... until now. Early in the morning on July 24th, Nichkhun was driving home from a JYP Entertainment get together in Seoul and got into a minor accident with a motorcyclist.  His blood alcohol level was revealed to be 0.056, which led to a suspension of his license.  There were no serious injuries.

I was just sitting here thinking that there's been a serious lack of Block B info on the Kpop scene.

I've decided to introduce a new feature to this blog called Kpop WTF.  I'm always browsing the net for interesting Kpop info and I often come across articles that lead me to have this reaction: And yes, I do mean often . Kpop WTF #1 is all about Teen Top Niel's big azz lips. Teen Top were guests on the June 27th episode of a show called Weekly Idol, partly because they wanted to lay a rumor to rest.  They needed us to know that Niel's lips get puffy when he's "sleeping". Before and After.  Sleeping... suuurrree.
