Big Bang is Still Killing It...

...and they haven't even released their album yet.  Craziness. I told myself yesterday that I was going to relax on the Big Bang posts for a bit because I was starting to feel like a Big Bang fansite, not that that's a bad thing.  THEN... they release something like this: "Bad Boy" teaser- Source:  BIGBANG

EXO Is Always At The Airport: A Fashion Retrospective

It's true.... The members of EXO-K and EXO-M are ALWAYS at the airport.  I'm never sure where they're going or what they're going to be doing when they get there, but I'm forever seeing the pics.  There's often some major fashion moments taking place in these pics; some good, some bad but always notable.  Enjoy: This post is image heavy

So You Were Wondering What EXO's "Wolf" & "Growl" Drama Version MVs Are About? Pt. 1

It has come to my attention that people are confused as hell about EXO 's " Wolf " and " Growl " drama version MVs, and have been since they came out.  Well, it's your lucky day, because I'm here to explain the shit out of them for you, in the way I know best: I'm going to tell you a little story.  Fyi, this will be done in two parts, so bear with me.

Kpop WTF: What's Up With All Those Skateboards?

The new "trend" in Kpop right now seems to be skateboards and I'm seeing them all over the place.  I think it kinda started when Big Bang's Taeyang was seen at the airport on a skateboard.  There's been numerous sightings of him and G-Dragon on skateboards since then:

Taeyang tweeted this pic on July 12

GD tweeted this pic on August 17

All of a sudden I'm seeing them everywhere.  Is it just me?

I saw Zelo on a skateboard in B.A.P's new mv, "Crash":

A member of rookie group C-Clown is seen riding a skateboard early on in their mv for their new song "Solo".  He's also seen trying to smash a flaming one into a wall:

Teen Top is on skateboards in their "Be Ma Girl" mv:

There are skateboarders in B2ST's (or BEAST) "Beautiful Night" mv (good song btw):

And of course the skater on the "G" half pipe and G-Dragon's customized Chrome Hearts skateboard in the "One of a Kind" mv (watch the mv here):

This is just from the videos I can remember seeing off the top of my head.  I'm sure there's more.

What do you guys think of this trend?  Will Kpop beat it to death until we never want to see another one again in our lives?  Have you seen any other skateboard action in other videos?  Let me know and I'll be sure to credit you.

  1. I don't mind the skateboards. It even inspires me to mix up some K-Pop with Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi" (which is a fun song, now that enough time has passed since it was seriously overplayed). Also, GD looks badass in that pic. I would love to see him do a video with no makeup and simple hip hop clothes- it would be an interesting way to change it up.

  2. I totally don't mind them either... I just find it funny when everyone jumps on a bandwagon.

  3. I didn't notice the skateboard thing before this, BUT I was flipping through the US September issue of Vogue and there's an article about designer skateboards. Like Diane von Furstenberg, Thakoon, Alexander Wang, etc. So serious fashion. I think this explains GD + skateboards. The rest of them, idk.

  4. Ahhh of course. I'd seen a few designer skateboards last year in a blog post but I'd forgotten about that. Thanks for the reminder! :)
