Oddness/Weirdness

So sorry I've been away for the past few days but it couldn't be helped.  I was working my bootie off and was too tired to blog, even if it was about Kpop.  I'll be back tomorrow with more posts but I realized after I saw these pics that I had to post them up. In case you hadn't heard yet, G-Dragon collaborated with the brand Ambush to make a few limited edition jewelry pieces to be sold at the My Boon store in Korea.  He attended the Ambush x G-Dragon launch party, which was held at the My Boon store on September 20th, and you just have to see what he wore.

G-Dragon had his first comeback stage on SBS's Inkigayo earlier this morning and you can color me enthralled.  If you haven't watched the "CRAYON" mv yet, click here .

G-Dragon has just released the mv to "CRAYON" and it is even better than I thought it would be.

Yesterday it was old school style in the song "Missing You" .  Today G-Dragon released another video where he talks about, and previews, the song "Light It Up" from his soon to be released "One of a Kind" mini album.  "Light It Up" is a rap song in which GD collaborates with Tablo and Dok2.  Check it out:

I don't talk about Kpop girls or girl groups on here very often, but this pictorial from Nylon magazine Korea of 4Minute's Hyuna really caught my eye.  I really like the styling (not to wear, just to look at) and the starkness of the photos, which makes the outfits and Hyuna's beauty stand out.

I promised I'd give you some G-Dragon " That XX " fashion , and here it is: As you probably already know, my most recent fashion obsession is  G-Dragon .  I’ve been fascinated by this fashion chameleon and fashionisto for awhile now, but he seems to have taken himself to a new level in the past year.  GD is, of course, obsessed with designer goods from the obvious major designers like Chanel and Givenchy.  He’s also supremely interested in somewhat lesser known (but equally as famous) avant garde designers like Junn. J and Commes Des Garcons , which shows in his willingness to wear a man-skirt or women’s clothing,  and to combine pieces in such unique ways. GD’s “ One of a Kind ” and “ That XX ” videos are so chock full of mostly high/some low fashion goodness that I felt compelled to track down the best outfits and dissect them.  Here’s what I found so far:

It's early in the day and already I've spazzed over umpteen happenings in the Kpop world today.  Here's the things I came upon so far that I feel it's IMPERATIVE to share with you.  :rolling eyes at myself: Love it or hate it?  Make sure to leave me a comment below! Big Bang's G-Dragon tweeted the following today and the Kpop world freaked out a bit.

As I mentioned last week , I've been noticing that people are looking to dress like Amber Liu from f(x).  In fact, two of the most popular posts on this blog have to do with Amber's fashion ( Idol Style  & Electric Shock  Shoe Porn ).  So today I'm showing you lovely readers how to translate Amber's super boyish style from stage to street.

Yesterday I gave you a glimpse of what the members of SHINee wore on their trip to Tokyo, Japan to perform in the SM Entertainment SMTown Live Tokyo III concerts.  Today it's all about the rest of them.  Scroll down for some airport fashion from TVXQ, SNSD aka Girl's Generation, f(x), EXO-M and EXO-K and Super Junior.   TVXQ

I came upon these pics of Shinee's airport style just now and had to share.  They were headed to Japan for SMTown Live Tokyo III today (or yesterday in S. Korea... always confuses me) and OMG do they look cute!  So cute that I want to put them all in my pocket so I can take them out when I need to get into a better mood. Make sure you scroll down and look at every pic because there's something to look at in each frame, Especially Taemin and Onew.  Yes Onew's shirt does say that.  Yes there is a bill sticking out.  Gah!

I've blogged about Key from Shinee's airport fashion enough times that I thought I'd move on to someone else, namely Taemin.  This guy is just so adorable, but don't tell him that.  I know he'd rather be thought of as manly and sexy, so we'll go with that. Taemin usually gives great airport style, especially in the last few years.  In the past, he tended to wear huge jackets that obviously were not originally his, so I'm glad he's over that phase.  One thing I really like about Taemin is that he tends to wear things he likes multiple times, often in quick succession, many of them gifts from fans.  It's kinda cute knowing that the guy really likes something, right?

I've been noticing quite a few people have come to Oddness/Weirdness to find out how to dress like f(x)'s ,Amber Liu so I thought I'd put together a post about that very subject. Coming Soon!

Key was out and about in Seoul today, doing what?  Shopping, of course!  Totally my favorite thing to do too...

I finally got around to doing this post but I'm thinking it will be worth the wait, if you're a fan of Big Bang's T.O.P.  Who wouldn't be?  The man is hot as hell. T.O.P is quite an interesting idol.  He's all swaggerific and like a boss on the outside, child-like and reportedly kind of shy and derpy on the inside.  He's been known to cover his face while in public because people are always talking about how cold/mean he looks. Ya know what?  He can give me those types of looks any day. Name: Choi Seung-hyun Nickname(s): T.O.P, Tabi, Bingu, Choom T.O.P (so hilarious). Typical Accomplishments: Lead rapper for Big Bang, has acted in well known Korean films like "Iris", "I Am Sam", "Nineteen", and "71: Into the Fire", has collaborated with G-Dragon to form a group called GD & TOP, has released well received solo songs like "Turn It Up".

As mentioned in my last post , G-Dragon graced us with a beauteous spread for Harper's Bazaar Korea August Issue.  Sadly, all we (mostly) get gracing our magazines here in the U.S. are (mostly) boring old emaciated actresses and models.   I've posted about GD in a skirt before , because he certainly wears them well.  What do you think?

Of course I'm all hyped for this 16 page spread in Harper's Bazaar Korea August issue that G-Dragon will be appearing in.  These pics are incredible, right?  Now we know why GD was really in Paris.

These videos totally annoyed me.

I've amassed quite a collection of newer pics of Shinee's Key looking, as usual, spectacular and outrageous and sometimes even a mixture of both.  Shinee has been back and forth to Japan, Taiwan, Korea and the Phillipines in the past month or so, and in that time Key has been parading his unique fashion sense through multiple airports and on multiple stages.  Many of his outfits have left me a bit in awe, since most people would look like idiots wearing what he manages to pull off.   Before you jump to conclusions and assume that Key has a stylist that puts his outfits together, let me assure you that this is not the case.  He and his fellow Shinee members have mentioned multiple times that Key is very particular about his outfits and will try on things many times before he gets it right.  I've also read that he did some of the styling for their Japanese Shinee World 2012, often from items he picked up while shopping in Japan. Let's get started, shall we?
