These pics and videos are making me rethink my decision to not see 2NE1 when they come to New Jersey. Hmmm....  This concert looks like a whole lot of fun.

2NE1 released the official mv for "I Love You" today and I was blown away by it's beautiful imagery.  To me they look like high end designer dolls in a soft focus urban fantasy movie.  Yes that's a good thing.

Yesterday 2NE1 released "I Love You" and managed to dominate all major Korean charts right away, which is referred to as an "all kill". I downloaded "I Love You" last night.  So far I've listened to this song multiple times and I'm loving it.  If you haven't listened to it yet,  check it out here:

Last week Inkigayo released a 2NE1 "I Love You" teaser that made me think that song was going to suck.  In the past few days, YG Entertainment has released more teasers for 2NE1's "I Love You" that sounded way better.  What a relief...

In the past few days 2NE1 has released more teaser pics and news for their upcoming comeback.   They've revealed that their official comeback date is July 5th and that they will be having their first comeback stage on SBS Inkigayo on July 8th.  Rumor has it that their album will be entitled "I Love You", which would be why Park Bom's teaser image features those words.

What in the heck?  Today 2NE1 announced that they would be bringing their first world tour, New Evolution, to New Jersey and Los Angeles, CA in August.  This announcement seems to have come out of the blue and I am in shock over here.

I'm not usually a label whore, especially for those designer brands that are all about putting their initials all over everything, but for some reason I can really get into the brand MCM.

I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about 2NE1 (pronounced "21" or "To Anyone") but what I do know is that I like their style.  As my cousin said once,"   I think if you mixed a Ken jr. Doll (insert Barbie reference here), the year 2057, an anime character, and a blow pop together you’d get K-Pop style."  I think that describes 2NE1 to perfection. I have to give their stylists/cordi-noonas props; they make the group look fun and crazy in a good way instead of looking a hot mess, which I'm sure is not an easy task.  The girls definitely know how to rock an out-there look, that's for sure, and they know how to rock it well. Names:  Lee Chae Rin, Sandara Park, Gong Min Ji and Park Bom. Nicknames: CL, Dara, Minzy and Bom. Last month, in my wanderings through YouTube, I found these videos of this mother's dance class from XX Dance School in Korea.  These mothers do dance covers of Kpop songs and they are awesome. The reason why I enjoy these so much is because, if you look closely at the video, you'll notice these are older women doing these dance covers really well and having a great time doing it.  I'm jealous because I want to take a class just like this.  If anyone knows of a Kpop dance cover class in NJ, hook me up! I'm in the mood for some Korean hip hop today, which means I've got a little bit of everything for ya, from the commercial to the underground.  Enjoy!

I love me some Kpop but I will admit I am not into the girl groups as much as I am into the boy groups.  This is because most of the girl groups I've come across are too cutesy, using wayyyy too much "aegyo" (click  here  for the definition of aegyo and the perfect demonstration vid).  The male groups usually try to be manly, just maybe not neccessarily manly as it is defined here in the U.S. When the video for "I Am The Best" by 2NE1 came out, I was pleasantly surprised by the song and the group because the whole package was fun, fierce and quirky instead of overly cutesy.  I'm all about fun, fierce and quirky and who wouldn't be?
