Video of the Day: INFINITE H "Without You" Feat. Zion T.

I totally slept on doing a Video of the Day post on INFINITE H's "Special Girl", but I wasn't nearly as into that song as I am into their newly released mv "Without You".

Ok, fun!  I am in love with the artsy Kpop-meets-hip-hop vibe of this mv and Hoya and Dongwoo are the perfect hep hap idols to introduce it to the masses.  I enjoyed everything about this mv, from the twerking on down to the rapping.

The outfit and set changes in this video are impeccable.  Normally I wouldn't be raving about paint splattered, bejeweled or oversized-floral-and-stripes-curtains patterned suits but in this instance it works.  They blend or contrast seamlessly with the sets, and I even actually like the ubiquitous stationary car scene.  The neon green bisecting the black and white really pops, and I have nothing but good things to say about the black and white vs. color scheme they have going on throughout.

Let's talk about the song now.  Zion. T's voice adds such a sweet counterpoint to the '90-meets-2013 melody, with Hoya and Dongwoon laying in some flaw free rapping.  I like.  I will be downloading this song as soon as possible.  In fact, here's the iTunes download link and you're quite welcome.  Haha wait... Can I tell you just how much I laughed that part of the iTunes permalink is "inpiniteuh".  Funny.

Is it just me or does this song seem more like it's all about putting Dongwoo front and center?  I don't think I'm going crazy when I say that I could have taken way more screencaps of Dongwoo than of Hoya here.  Hey, there's nothing wrong with that.  The focus is so often on Hoya as the dancing machine and the beastly idol of INFINITE, but in INFINITE H Dongwoo gets a chance to shine, and I like that a lot.

You might not know it, but Dongwoo is extra beastly too.  Here he is auditioning for JYP, along with a few other pre-debut videos that showcase his incredible talent.







Is my bias showing?  Probably, but that's because I always have a soft spot for awesome dancers like Dongwoo.  Plus he's just got that certain sexy something, which is evident in that knowing smirk and those slinky moves of his.

As always I have to give props to Woolliment for doing such an outstanding job with INFINITE and all of its variations.  Woolliment never skimps on anything to do with promoting INFINITE as a brand and it shows.  They consistently deliver excellent music (Except for Sunggyu), MVs and costumes, and they've been doing this since the beginning.  I definitely can't say that about every entertainment company.
